​Welcome to the Hens4Attalla Project, seeking to legalize the keeping of backyard hens. 

The goal of the Hens4Attalla Project is the modification of Attalla, Alabama ordinances so residents can keep a limited number of backyard hens ( not roosters) in secure, proper, and humane enclosures. Current zoning requirements preclude virtually all Attalla city residents from keeping backyard hens.  Current ordinances only allow for chickens on properties of 3 acres or more.
